Rest and Restoration

God’s story is always one of redemption, that’s simply what He does. He rescues and restores and you find this theme time and time again throughout the Bible. To restore something is the act of returning something to its former owner, place or condition. More often than not, it is better than before.

We know that we live in a fallen and broken world and that God is not only calling us closer to Him but we have been commissioned to work together as a body of believers to bring the lost and broken back to the Father and live whole and abundant lives for His Kingdom, purpose and glory.

We all fit into this picture in one way or another and it looks different for each of us. For Ralph and me, this has been a journey of serving as missionaries to the deaf in Mexico for many years. After leaving the mission field we moved stateside to raise our family while taking care of my ailing Grandma in the home she and my grandpa built on family acreage that dates back a hundred plus years.

We have lived in this home for over twelve years and in the past few years God has given us a vision to use our family home for His purposes and to for it to be a place of rest and restoration. This is in line with the heart of not only my Grandparents but going back as far as my Great Great Grandparents. Rest, restoration and redemtion is God's plan and purpose for each of us, whether you are on this personal journey or walking alongside someone.

We invite you to journey with us as we embark into this new horizon. Our goal is to bring up the house and property to become a resting place, a place of ministry and retreat primarily for pastors, ministers and missionaries yet we believe there is more beyond this as well. We are still leaning in and listening to God's direction as we dream at the same time we are putting our hands to action in obedience and trust Him.

We invite you to partner in prayer with us. We are asking God for strength, wisdom and continued clarity along the way. Your prayers are so very appreciated.
